Marcia Durkes began her career at Martin Tractor Company in 1984 as a staff accountant. Ten months after she was hired she was promoted to Accounting Manager and later was named Controller. On January 1, 1999 she became CFO and Corporate Treasurer, a position she held until the company was sold in November, 2009. During her 26 years at Martin Tractor Company she performed all levels of accounting and finance functions. As CFO she was responsible for finance, accounting, credit, treasury management, corporate budgeting, financial reporting, risk management and legal and regulatory requirements. Marcia served as Co-Trustee of the company 401k plan. In July 2010, she and three other former Martin Tractor Company Executives formed Simply Solutions, Inc. The four equal partners of Simply Solutions provide accounting, payroll, informational technology, and other back office services for small to medium sized companies. Marcia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Accounting from Washburn University as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Baker University. She is a 2003 graduate of the Topeka Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Topeka class, served on the Board of Directors of Topeka Habitat for Humanity from 2001 – 2010 (serving as Board Treasurer for 8 years) and is currently the Treasurer for Westminster Presbyterian Church. Most recently, she graduated in June 2010 from the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce/Go Topeka First Step FastTrac® Entrepreneur Training Class.

Gordon has masters degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and Kansas State University. He has been a public school teacher for 35 years in Nebraska, Montana, and most recently Council Grove, KS. He was a high school football and basketball referee for 20 years and plays tennis in his spare time.
